Dear friends of Inn by the Sea:

With autumn’s arrival, Maine transforms into Mother Nature's most spectacular season, showcasing sunny days, cool nights, cozy fires, and dazzling crimson foliage. It's an exhilarating time to reconnect with nature whether strolling through the woods to Great Pond, apple picking at a local farm, or enjoying a leisurely walk on Crescent Beach. 

Start the day with 8 AM yoga on the seaside lawn, borrow our bikes to visit nearby lighthouses, take the Great Pond walk to see watchable wildlife, enjoy a garden tour with our head gardener and spend cozy evenings next to the campfire making s’mores. Savor the flavors of the season with Chef David Brown’s fresh, autumn menus in ocean view Sea Glass- but don’t forget to leave time to pamper and rejuvenate in SPA. 

The beach opens to leashed dogs on October 1, and the Inn’s popular “pool paw-ty”, where the pool remains open to guest dogs (and closes for the season to guests) will be October 15 to 21 this year. Be sure to reserve a refreshing fall getaway for you and your pup!

Sea Glass has once again achieved Wine Spectator’s second tier award, Best of Award of Excellence for our deep cellar of over 300 labels and 2500 bottles, curated by Food & Beverage Director Shayne Conlon to pair perfectly with Chef David Brown’s handcrafted menus.
