Inn with Art
While Inn by the Sea walls and public spaces are hung with regional art that would be the envy of most museum curators, Portland’s Museum of Art has a comprehensive collection of renowned Maine painters. Winslow Homer painted masterpieces, such as his celebrated Canon Rock, nearby in his studio at Proust Neck. Many of Homer’s works are housed at Portland’s Museum of Art where you can also view Hopper’s beloved image of the historic Portland Headlight, located just minutes from the Inn. The Museum prides itself on Art for All and has a diverse collection that will be a wonderful experience for all ages. Guests at Inn by the Sea have complimentary access to the Museum with advance notice. (Portland museum of Art)
